HB1044 Representative Jan Judy
An Act for the Arkansas Commission on Child Abuse, Rape and Domestic Violence for Grants to Domestic Violence Shelters and Stand Alone Sexual Assault Centers Appropriation for the 2001-2003.
Final Status: Now Act 1145
Presented by that Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence. $150,000 has been committed to fund this appropriation and will be released between July and December.

HB1046 Representative Jan Judy
To Establish Advocate-Victim Confidentiality for Victims of Domestic Abuse.
Final Status: Approved for interim study
Presented by the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence to ensure confidentiality for domestic abuse advocates.

HB1049 Representative Jan Judy
To Repeal Arkansas Code 9-15-301 and to Amend Arkansas Code 9-15-302 Pertaining to the Full Faith and Credit of Out of State Protection Orders
Final Status: Approved for interim study
Presented by the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence to ensure that out of state orders are honored without needing to be registered with a local court.

HB1691 Representative Judy
The Arkansas Domestic Violence Act of 2001
Final Status: Approved for interim study.
Presented by Senator Mahony, passed through the House and died in the Senate. Intended to provide a civil remedy for domestic abuse.

HB1716 Representative Lynn Hendren
An Act to Amend Arkansas Code 16-81-113 to Increase the Number of Hours to Twelve that a Law Enforcement Officer May Make a Warrantless Arrest for Domestic Abuse Involving Physical Injury.
Final Status: Now Act 1421.
Increased from four hours to twelve.

HB1887 Representative Joyce Elliott
To Prohibit Mutual Orders of Protection.
Final Status: Now Act 1437
Presented by the Attorney General's Office. Specifically prohibits granting mutual orders of protection unless both parties have gone through appropriate processes on their own.

HB1588 Representative Joyce Dees
To Enhance Penalties for Offenses Committed in the Presence of a Child.
Final Status: Now Act 1707

Presented by the Attorney General's Office. Additional terms/time of imprisonment from one to ten years for committing abuse in the presence of a child.

HB2173 Representative Sam Ledbetter
To Create a Rebuttable Presumption That It Is Not In The Best Interest Of A Child To Be Placed In The Custody Of An Abusive Parent.
Final Status: Now Act 1235.
Presented by the Attorney General's Office. Provides for not placing a child into the custody of an abusive parent.

HB2174 Representative Sam Ledbetter
An Act to Protect Victims of Domestic Abuse
Final Status: Now Act 1678
Presented by the Attorney General's Office. Intended to open Protection Orders to those in dating relationships and who have a child in common. Dating relationship language was amended out.

HB2315 Representative Sam Ledbetter
An Act to Require Law Enforcement Officers to Complete Training in Domestic Violence and Child Abuse.
Final Status: Now Act 1452.
Presented by the Arkansas Commission on Child Abuse, Rape and Domestic Violence. Requires twenty hours of training in domestic violence and child abuse by new officers.

HB2326 Representative Jan Judy
To require Domestic Abuse Advocates to Report Suspected Abuse ot Neglect of Children.
Final Status: Act 1236.

HB2355 Representative Marvin Childers
An Act to Amend Arkansas Code to Include Causing Physical Injury to Certain Older or Younger Family Members to the Offense of Domestic Battering.
Final Status: Died in Senate Judiciary.

HB2356 Representative Childers
An Act to Amend Arkansas Code 9-15-207 to Clarify That Orders of Protection Are Enforceable in Every County of This State.
Final Status: Now Act 1469.

SB 612 Representative Jody Mahony
Requires Regulations Governing Administration Of Voca, Vawa, And Fvpsa Funds, And Repeals Provisions Restricting Administration Of Such Funds.
Final Status: Act 1786.
Provides for representation on all relevant committees by the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
